Burnout is widespread.  Australia has one of the highest rates of burnout of any country, almost four in five Australians suffer burnout which constitutes 6% above the global average (ASANA Report). Professionals, regardless of specialty and work setting, are under more stress than ever, as evidenced by increased demand for better services that are more efficient and thorough, higher costs, reduced staffing, and diminishing resources.

The pandemic placed additional stress on workplace culture. People seem to work longer hours, in many cases, flexible hours but the flipside to all this flexibility is an increased feeling that work never ends, lack of human contact or face to face support.  It’s tough to find work-life balance when the lines between the two are blurred. We live in digital time and our pace is rushed and relentless. Facing crushing workloads, we try to cram as much as possible into every day.  We are wired up but we are melting down.  Time management is no longer a viable solution.  Self-discipline and managing energy rather than time is the key to health, productivity, life-work balance and well-being.

Attend this new workshop based on the newest research in neuroscience and the biology of burnout.  Learn the tools that, if implemented on a regular basis, will make it possible to prevent burnout and to recover from it.  You will learn how to recognise your own burnout pattern and differentiate burnout from various types of depression, chronic and/or adrenal fatigue and other such ailments.  This knowledge will assist in making sure that you are not misdiagnosed and unnecessarily pathologized or medicated.  This course will then focus on solutions which will lead you to regaining spark, creating more energy, well-being and resilience.  It will be experiential with lots of movie illustrations, demonstration and practical activities- hopefully a starting point to your journey towards increased energy level, productivity and a sense of freedom.
